🦚 Feather Flourishes: Creative Expressions you can make at home!

We are excited to share short creative prompts with you that we find can be healing. We will demo each prompt with suggested materials that we hope are available in your home. There are many ways to create and express ourselves in response to these prompts.

What we demo is not the only way, in fact, we’d love to know if you’ve tried a prompt or how you transformed the prompt! We would love to be tagged if you post your creative expression (no pressure to share).

We are looking forward to sharing new prompts and dusting off our favorites with you each week!

We’d love to see what you come up with!

Create a layer of markings on your paper and then use an eraser or a bright color to make a new layer of markings or erasings.

Use any combination of things you find in your home for this: newspaper, sketchpad, wrapping paper, chalk, pencils, charcoal, erasers, paint, etc.

Painting to Music 🎵

You can play whatever music you wish and use anything you consider painting materials. What’s around your home?

Perhaps use your fingers instead of brushes and use food or makeup if you don’t have ‘paint’.

Your walk can be as long or short a distance as you’d like for this prompt.

Pick a color and observe the world around you with this in mind.

We’d love to see what you come up with – what color did you choose or what did you notice with your chosen color in mind?
